She debuted to Tollywood as a glamorous heroine. Everybody thought that she will get more chances with skin show like everybody else. She has gone through the both phases.. plenty of offers & no offers. When offers decreased, she left Tollywood. She has shocked everybody with her performance in the Bollywood film 'Pink'. She is Taapsee.
The number of fans increased for Taapsee after 'Pink'. Everybody accepted that she is a good artiste rather than a ordinary heroine who depends on skin show. Some people even commented that..why Tollywood didn't offer her peformance based roles? Tapsee was a given a 'unlucky heroine' tag as her movies failed at the box office in the past. Surprisingly those films are made in the combination of star heroes and star directors. She has opened on such things recently.
"Some producers told me to reduce remuneration. By the time I convey my decision they used to drop me from the project. Some producers used to blame me for their financial troubles. I couldn't understand what to do in such a situation. Some top heroes in Bollywood were not interested to work with me as I was not a top heroine. That was a pain for me. On the other hand, film makers used to take my dates.. they used to drop me later saying that they got dates of a top heroine".
"My remueneration touched a new low with this kind of developments. People will not believe me if I say that I had to fight for the basic pay.. that's true. But I never blame others for that. Some people used to say that..'your figure is not good'. I don't feel sad for such things. I love acting. I entered this field as I have confidence on my talent.. I wanted live as a strong person with the same attitude".
Strong women like Taapsee who speak their mind are rare in the industry.. Let us wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
