Arjun Reddy became a huge hit in Telugu and Hindi as well. The movie was supposed to release in Tamil earlier this year, in Bala's direction.
But the production house scrapped Bala's Varma and released Girisayya's Aditya Varma in theatres. Movie did okay business and Dhruv Vikram got good marks from critics and common audiences.
Vikram wanted his son to be launched with a big film like Arjun Reddy remake and also wanted Bala, who made his life as an actor with Sethu, to direct it.
But he did not like Bala's version. The production team scrapped it and got Sandeep Reddy's assistant on board to complete the task.
The latest update is that production house sold Bala's Varma to Netflix and for fans of the director, it will stream on the OTT platform soon, it seems.
