Telugu Bigg Boss sees lesser ratings than the previous season!

The Telugu Bigg Boss, one of the successful shows in Telugu, has been growing in terms of popularity and TRS ratings over the years. Season 5, the new season, started earlier last week. The makers of the show have roped in Nagarjuna as the host for the third consecutive season.
Given the kind of success the previous season had received, the fifth season had created a positive buzz and interest in the new season. A few people have called for the ban on the show after looking at the curtain raiser event.
Despite facing tough competition from other shows like Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu hosted by NTR, Bigg Boss recorded good TRP ratings. Reports say that the inaugural episode got a TRP rating of 15.70. We have to say that the show did a good job. Compared to NTR's show, Bigg Boss fared well. Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu recorded a TRP ratings of 11.4.
Despite having better numbers than the competitors, Bigg Boss saw a drop in the TRP ratings and when compared to the previous season, the numbers are relatively less. Season 4 saw record ratings of 18.5 on the inaugural episode. Season five will be in second place when ranked as per the ratings.
Barring the second season, all the seasons went on to record better ratings compared to the previous seasons. Season 1 that was hosted by NTR recorded 16.18 ratings and the show saw a decline in the ratings in the second season with 15.05. The third season has a rating of 17.9, followed by 18.5 in the previous season. With the second half of IPL resuming from next week, Bigg Boss ratings might decline a bit.
