Thalapathy & Prabhas Arriving On The Same Day?

The team of 'Adipurush' gave a huge update that the first look poster and teaser will be coming out on 2nd September. It will be released on the Sarayu river bank in Ayodhya. Apart from that, they even announced that this high-budget mythological drama will be arriving in theatres on 12th January 2023. While the fans are overjoyed with this news, the industry insiders are now predicting a huge clash during the Pongal season of 2023.
While pan-Indian hero's Prabhas has announced that 'Adipurush' will be arriving on 12th January, even Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film 'Variysu' is coming on the same day. This news was released long back and the shooting of Vijay's film is also going on at a rapid pace in order to release the film on time. While there is no doubt that 'Adipurush' will be doing well in Telugu and Hindi markets, the stiff competition will arrive in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka where Vijay has a strong market. This may affect the collections of 'Adipurush' to an extent.
Directed by Om Raut, 'Adipurush' is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair. Vamsi and Pramod of UV Creations will be releasing it in Telugu. Saif Ali Khan portrays the character of Lankesh in this 'Adipurush' while gorgeous Bollywood beauty Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita. Sunny Singh will be seen as Lakshman in this project which is made on a grand budget.
'Variysu' is a film directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine while Thaman is the music composer. It is a Tamil film which will be dubbed into various languages. Srikanth, Sangeetha, Jayasudha, Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, 'Kick' Shyam and 'Yogi Babu' are also a part of this film. Hari and Ahishor Salmon are providing the story and screenplay along with Vamsi Paidipally. Karthik Pazhani is the Director Of Photography while KL Praveen is the editor. Vivek will be penning the dialogues and additional screenplay.
