Promoting a film is equally important as compared to making a good film. So, the makers are stressing more on the marketing and promotions of the film. They are finding new ways to take their film into the audience. The most famous one these days are the promotional songs.
Though it is a normal trend in Bollywood, it is young music composer Anirudh Ravichander who used them to good effect for his films. His promotional songs for Tamil films like 'Remo', 'Kolammavu Kokila', 'Velaikkaran' and others helped these films a lot. Even in Telugu, his songs for films like 'Agnyathavaasi', 'U-Turn' and 'Gang Leader' have garnered millions of views.
Reports say that Thaman is following the same route and is planning for a promotional song for his upcoming film 'Ala Vaikunthapuram'. He is supposedly planning it in a grand way to boost the film and the official announcement is expected to be heard soon.
