'Time' Is Changing In Tollywood Once Again!

There is a popular saying which says that trends don't go away but return in a better way. The same goes for the film field too. There was a time when films on the mafia used to be a trend and it has been replaced by socio-fantasy films. Recently, we are seeing all our star heroes following the trend of making pan-Indian movies. Similarly, films based on time-traveling became good hits in Tollywood a few decades back. 'Aditya 369' is a huge example for that but movies on this unique concept were not made in the past 15-20 years which is quite surprising.
But experts claim that the trend of time-traveling movies are coming back again. We have recently seen 'Playback' on the Telugu OTT platform 'Aha'. Starring 'Mallesham' and 'Vakeel Saab' fame Ananya Nagalla in the lead, 'Playback' had a time-traveling concept which caught the attention of the audience. Recent 'Kudi Yedamaithe' featuring Amala Paul and Rahul Vijay might not be about time travelling but it is set in the backdrop of a time loop where the same day keeps happening again and again.
We have craze hero Sharwanand releasing the first look of his upcoming film 'Oke Oka Jeevitham'. It has been made very clear that this flick has science fiction elements. This interesting movie is also going to have time travelling theme in it. Everyone is aware of the fact that pan-Indian hero Prabhas agreed to be the hero in 'Mahanati' fame Nag Ashwin's science fiction with time travelling concept. It is will be made on a budget of more than 500 cores by Ahsiwni Dutt and top class actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are also working on this film. Singeetham Srinivasa Rao who made 'Aditya 369' is supervising and guiding Nag Ashwin on this movie.
Apart from all of these, there a talk that hero Satyadev's next film with Nithya Menen titled 'Skylab' is also being made on the same theme. Seems like time travelling concept is coming back with a bang in Tollywood again. If these movies become successful, there is a high chance that we may witness a lot of films which will be made on this concept. Let us wait and see what happens in the next coming weeks.
