Tollywood Producers Thinking On Resuming Shootings?

It is known that the Tollywood film industry came to a standstill with the decision taken by the Active Telugu Film Producers Guild. Though there was a little bit of confusion on the shootings bandh initially, the Producers' council also supported the bandh. Its been around twenty days since the bandh came into effect.

Two weeks after the shoots were halted it is now said that the shootings might be resumed as the producers want the industry to work as usual. The key members are expected to call for a key meeting today and after the commencement of the meeting, the members would talk to the media.

The reason behind the status quo of shootings likely to be changed is that the producers want to resume the shootings as halting the shoots for longer periods would only increase the burden of the industry and doing so is of no use anyway.

Many films which are in the shooting stage were forced to halt the shooting with a bandh. On the other hand, August month gave a big hope to the industry with as many as three films turning out to be hit.

The dip in the hit percentage is one of the issues which are troubling the industry and to address the troubling issues, the producers gave a call to halt the shoots. One of the issues has been addressed without any struggle.

After seeing two disastrous months, Tollywood got a good relief with August. Putting an end to the dry run at the box office, films like Bimbisara, Sita Ramam, and Karthikeya 2 scored big hits. Karthikeya is getting bigger and bigger. In the northern belt, the Nikhil Siddharth starrer saw a big increase in the theatre count. The film is doing better than the Bollywood films as well.

As the success rate looks sorted likely with back-to-back successful films, the producers are said to be of the opinion that they should focus on resuming the shoots and bring the industry right on track. In the meeting that is likely to be held today, the producers might propose the resume of shootings.
