Vijay Devarakonda Realise His Market!

బొద్దు గుమ్మ అని పిలిచేస్తే ఏ క‌థానాయిక అయినా కాస్త త‌డ‌బ‌డుతుంది. త‌న‌ని స‌న్న‌జాజి తీగ అని పిలిచిన‌ప్పుడు వినిపించే ఆ సౌండింగ్ ముందు బొద్దుగుమ్మ అంటే నామోషీ ఫీల‌య్యే ప‌రిస్థితి ఉంది. సైజ్ జీరో ప్ర‌భావం క‌థానాయిక‌ల‌పై ఆ రేంజులోనే ప‌ని చేస్తుంటుంది. ఆ క్ర‌మంలోనే ఎవ‌రైనా భామ‌ను మ‌రీ బొద్దుగుమ్మ‌లా ఉన్నారు! అంటే హ‌ర్ట్ అయిపోవ‌డం చూస్తున్న‌దే.

ఇంత‌కుముందు ఇలియానాను ఇలానే ఆట‌ప‌ట్టిస్తే.. ఆ వెంట‌నే ఎడా పెడా సైజ్ జీరో ఫోటోల్ని పాత స్టాక్ నుంచి తీసి అంత‌ర్జాలంలో వైర‌ల్ చేసింది. ల‌వ్ బ్రేక‌ప్ కి ముందు ప్రియుడు ఆండ్రూ నీబోన్ తీసిన ఫోటోల్ని హార్డ్ డిస్క్ లో భ‌ద్ర‌ప‌రుచుకున్న ఇల్లీ.. వాటి నుంచి కొంత స్టాక్ తీసి ఇన్ స్టాలోకి ఎక్కించి అభిమానుల్ని క‌న్ఫ్యూజ్ చేసింది. ఓవైపు ప్రియుడితో క‌టీఫ్ చెప్పేసిన ఇల్లీ నిద్ర మాత్రలు మింగి ప‌ర్య‌వ‌సానంగా డిప్రెష‌న్ కి లోనై బాగా బ‌రువు పెరిగింది. కానీ తాను రిలీజ్ చేసే ఫోటోలు మాత్రం అందుకు పూర్తి భిన్నంగా ఉండ‌డంతో అంద‌రిలో డౌట్ మొద‌లైంది. అలా చ‌క్క‌న‌మ్మ అడ్డంగానే చిక్కింది.

అయితే పాత ఫోటోల‌కు లేటెస్ట్ ఫోటోల‌కు తేడా తెలీనిది ఎవ‌రికి? ఇదిగో లేటెస్టుగా ఫిలింఫేర్ ఈవెంట్లో ఇలియానా లుక్ చూడ‌గానే బొద్దుగుమ్మ ఎంత దాచినా దాగ‌డం లేదుగా! అంటూ కామెంట్లు ప‌డిపోతున్నాయి. అదిరిపోయే డిజైన‌ర్ లాంగ్ ఫ్రాకు.. దానికి కాంబినేష‌న్ టాప్ తో ద‌ర్శ‌న‌మిచ్చింది అమ్మ‌డు. అయితే ఆ న‌డుము మ‌డ‌త‌ల్ని ఎంత ఎక్స్ పోజ్ చేద్దామ‌న్నా ఏమాత్రం ఎలివేట్ కాక‌పోవ‌డంతో ఇల్లీ బేబీ అడ్డంగా దొరికిపోయింది. దానిని స్మైల్ తో క‌వ‌ర్ చేసుకోవాల్సిన ప‌రిస్థితే ఎదురైంది మ‌రి. ఇక ఇలియానా ప్ర‌స్తుతం అభిషేక్ బ‌చ్చ‌న్ స‌ర‌స‌న ఓ చిత్రంలో న‌టిస్తోంది. స్టాక్ బ్రోక‌ర్ హ‌ర్ష‌ద్ మెహ‌తా కుంభ‌కోణం నేప‌థ్యంలో బ‌యోపిక్ క‌థ‌తో తెర‌కెక్కుతున్న ఈ చిత్రాన్ని అజ‌య్ దేవ‌గ‌న్ నిర్మిస్తున్నారు.


Trade experts analyse and submit reports to producers based on the numbers the films put up by the end of a first weekend, first day, first week and long run.

They analyse what worked for the film, what did not and even give a picture about who is the leading star and who is gaining momentum in public.

Vijay Devarakonda got solid hits in Pelli Choopulu, Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam. His special role in Mahanati and film that released late due to piracy, Taxiwala, also became his identities as a hero in TFI.

But he is losing the steam quickly with NOTA, Dear Comrade and now, World Famous Lover failures. He might look at himself as an actor who graduated into a star as even Megastar Chiranjeevi, called him so at Geetha Govindam, post release success event.

Uday Kiran, Tharun also delivered huge hits but they did not convert their careers into long lasting ones as they felt they were stars after those initial successes and did not find better subjects to keep the momentum going.

Nithiin did go through that phase and consolidated after 13 flops as a hero with continuous successes till A..Aa. Even though he is under extreme pressure to deliver a hit, in trade eyes, he has established himself enough to secure at least good first week collections for any film.

Nani too after a period of lull, came up with 7 back to back successful films with 3 big blockbusters that has now allowed him to become a star. His recent flop movie, Gang leader collected Rs. 15 crores at the box office even though it lost close to 9 crores for distributors. But Jersey is sure to win him awards.

Vijay Devarakonda's World Famous Lover had failed to register house full shows on the second day and even on third day Sunday, the theatres are only 40% full on a cumulative average.

Stars like Venkatesh, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi had solid two to three weeks run even for disasters and today's bankable stars like Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Prabhas, Jr. NTR, Nani can give solid first weekend and first week numbers, irrespective of results.

May be it is time for Vijay Devarakonda to look at the real picture of his market and decide accordingly than just trying to show off that he is a big star, which is not true, yet!
