Family Members of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy staged a sit-in protest outside the office of Konidala Productions in MLA Colony. Doravari Dastagiri Reddy and Lakshmi Kumar, who are the 5th Generation Heirs of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, sought justice for offering the rights to make the biopic of the First Generation Freedom Fighter.
As per a popular media house, The Heirs claim: 'In May 2018, Ram Charan's PA Avinash and Chiru Fans Association President Swamy Naidu invited us to the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank. An agreement assuring Rs 5 crore payment for the 22 heirs of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy was signed. Till today, Justice wasn't done to us even though 'Sye Raa' is ready for release. On August 15th, Konidala Productions offered to pay Rs 15 lakh for each of the seven families. As the promise wasn't fulfilled, We have been visiting the office repeatedly. Recently, Ram Charan's PA told us that we don't have the right to demand any payment. They had clearly violated the 15 days deadline of Notary'.
Konidala Productions has maintained that it is willing to make payment to the heirs of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy but the court is yet to decide who are eligible to receive it. The Production House is in a dilemma whether to make the payment or not because the situation turns worse if Court doesn't identify the persons whom they paid as the heirs.
