It was announced on Monday that Mega Prince will be doing a bilingual film backdrop of Indian Air Force. The pooja ceremony has been performed and the movie will be made on a grand scale. Sony Pictures International Productions and Renaissance Pictures banners are jointly producing it. The movie will be going on floors in November 2022.

Shakti Pratap Singh who is a well known ad-filmmaker, cinematographer and VFX aficionado is making his debut as a feature film director with this movie. This high-octane adventure film is created a lot of buzz already. Apparently, director Shakti Pratap narrated the film's sript long back through a demo named 'Long Run'. It is based on Balakot Air Strikes in 2019 that involves self taught pilots. After presenting it to Sony Pictures, the script was changed a lot and the references of the actual story were reportedly removed in order to avoid controversy.

Government of India claimed that the Indian Air Force has attacked Balakot inside the POJK and took out the terrorists. But a few satellite agencies denied it which led to a lot of dicussion. The makers reportedly decided to avoid this part and took out all the references to make it vague. Looks like the content in #VT13 is going to be juicy. The movie will be shot in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously and is expected to go on floors by the end of this year and will have a global release in 2023.

This untitled film is a patriotic, edge-of-the-seat entertainer, and will showcase the indomitable spirits of our heroes on the frontlines and the challenges they face as they fight one of the biggest, fiercest aerial attacks that India has ever seen. At the event, Varun Tej said, "I am honoured to have received the opportunity to play the role of an Indian Air Force Officer and celebrate their valour on the big screen. Partnering with global giant Sony Pictures International Productions, Sandeep Mudda and director Shakti Pratap Singh, we strive to make a film that we hope will be a perfect tribute to the Indian Air Force. The script for this film provides a challenge to break out of my previous roles. As an (IAF)officer, my character has layers that will be interesting for me to showcase in this film. I will be undergoing immense training and I am excited to see how the audiences react to this one."
