In a place where heroines usually get confined to glamorous roles, there is Varalakshmi Sarathkumar who is playing versatile roles in the South. She already earned a good name in Kollywood by doing different roles. Though she entered as a heroine, she gave importance to the story and even did villain roles in movies like 'Sarkar' and 'Pandem Kodi 2'.
She
became familiar with those dubbing films in Telugu too and her acting
in Ravi Teja's 'Krack' brought her a lot of appreciation and craze in
Tollywood. In her recent outing 'Naandhi', she played a role that is
equivalent to the hero. The audience are accepting her in all kinds of
roles which is a very rare sight in Tollywood.
News is that
Varalakshmi has been offered a key role in Bunny-Koratala film as well.
She is reportedly doing a role in Akhil-Surender Reddy's movie too. It
looks like Varalakshmi is turning out to be the go-to option for lady
villain roles and performance-oriented character roles in the entire
South. There is no real competition to her in this aspect and instead of
ending up as a regular heroine, she chose a very wise path.
