How can we forget the storm created by Bollywood controversial actress Kangana Ranaut with her bheekh remark. Despite political leaders, activists and members of the film industry are also blasting the actress. A demand to cancel her Padma Award was also started. Cases against her were also booked.

Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna who was popular with superhero character Shaktimaan was not impressed with Kangana's comments on independence and asked was her comments a side effect of receiving the Padma award. He fired on Kangana Ranaut on a long post made on Instagram. The post was made in Hindi.

Calling the statements of the actress childish and ridiculous. He asked if the comment came out of ignorance or was it a side effect of the Padma Award. Saying that everyone knows that the country got its independence on August 15, 1947, Mukesh Khanna said commenting against it will be foolish.

He concluded his post by asking Kangana Ranaut to don't make such a controversial statement. Mukesh Khanna schooled 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' actress Kangana Ranaut on independence and said that many revolutionaries and Subhas Chandra Bose's Azad Hind Fauj made numerous sacrifices that made the British run away from the country.

Kangana Ranaut landed in an unwanted controversy while speaking at the Times Now Summit. Attracting criticism, the actress opined that the freedom India got in 1947 was bheekh and the real freedom attained by the country was in 2014. These comments created quite a sensation and made her target for many.

Not stopping there, Kangana Ranaut even made objectionable comments against Mahatma Gandhi. She made a post that goes like Gandhi did not support Subhash Chandra Bose and Chandra Shekhar Azad. Indirectly slamming the ahimsa path, Kangana opined that showing a second cheek after being hit on the cheek is not courage.

Kangana Ranaut's recent outing was actor-turned-politician Jayalalithaa's biopic Thalaivi. Her performance as Jayalalithaa was lauded by one and all. The actress is currently shooting for Dhaakad and Tejas. Dubbed as an action entertainer, Dhakad is carrying high expectations that stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta in key roles.
