Tollywood's senior producer V Doraswamy Raju passed away on Monday morning. The veteran producer reportedly died of cardiac arrest at Care Hospital in Banjara Hills. He is the founder of the VMC Organizations (VMC Productions, VMC Pictures, VMC films, VMC1 Company, VMC Film Distributor, VMC picture palace).

In 1994, Doraswamy Raju won the Nagari constituency as an MLA. He performed many roles such as a member of the TTD Board, Film Chamber president, Distribution Council President, and President of the Exhibitors' Association. The death of Doraswamy Raju was a fatal blow to the film industry.

He had distributed around 750 films in Telugu states, mainly in the Rayalaseema region. In his film journey, the ace producer produced some memorable films such as ANR’s Seetharamaiah Gari Manamaralu, Nagarjuna's Kirayi Dada, Annamayya, NTR's Simhadri etc. His popular films also include Sitaramayyagari Manavaralu, Presidentgari Pellam, Vengamamba and Bhale Pellam.

The film fraternity and V Doraswamy Raju's well-wishers are expressing their condolences on his demise.
