If everything went as planned, Prabhas' mythological movie 'Adipurush' would have arrived during the Sankranti season. The team of this big-budgeted film announced that it will be coming out on 12th January and there was a lot of buzz surrounding this movie. Everyone was very excited to hear this and fans were happy to see their hero on the big screen as lord Ram.

But everything went downhill once the teaser came out in October. The poor visual effects made everyone speechless and people who expected a visual feast were met with something which resembled animation movies. Starting from the look of Saif Ali Khan as Ravanasura to the appearance of Prabhas, everything was scrutinized. It got a lot of negativity and some politicians even warned the makers about distorting the history.

The movie's unit postponed the release date and it is now coming on 16th June. There is a lot of negativity around this movie now and many claim that the team is changing a lot of the portions in order to please the audience. But the movie's editor Ashish Mhatre denies all these rumours. He said, "We are following the same way from where we started the film, because we have not made any mistake in the first place, that needs rectification."

Speaking about the film, director Om Raut stated, 'Adipurush' is not a film, but a representation of our devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram and commitment towards our Sanskriti and history. In order to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on the film. We are committed to make a film that India will be proud of. Your support, love and blessings is what keeps us going."

Kriti Sanon is the female lead in this project while Sunny Singh played the role of Lakshman. Saif Ali Khan is the antagonist and T-Series has bankrolled this project.
