'NTR Kathanayakudu' which is the first part of NTR biopic hit the screens for Sankranthi. Despite getting released amid high expectations, the movie utterly failed to impress the audience.
Though the film was made on a high budget, the movie brought nothing but losses to the distributors. It is known that Krish is the director of the film. All the buyers across the world bought the rights for hefty prices but the movie ended up as a disaster at the box office. Director Krish also faced losses because of the film. The director has bought the theatrical rights of the movie in the Guntur region for Rs. 6 crores. However, he sold half of his share for a local distributor the movie. The movie made only 3 crores in its final run in that region. So, Krish lost 1.5 crores with the film.
