Post lockdown, the public has been very encouraging towards the film industry. Every film that came in theatres post lockdown got decent collections and some films like 'Krack', 'Uppena' and 'Jathi Ratnalu' did exceedingly well. The Telugu film industry too managed to commence shootings smoothly without many hurdles.
To make up the loss of 2020, they announced the release dates of almost every single film and packed 2021. After a few medium-range films till now, we are going to have the first star hero release on April 9th. Pawan's 'Vakeel Saab' is arriving with a lot of hype. The whole summer season is filled with big films and the coming months are also packed with humongous projects like 'Acahrya', 'Narappa' 'Khiladi', '#BB3', 'Radhe Shyam', 'KGF-2', 'Pushpa', 'RRR' and many others. There are a lot of normal films too like 'Tuck Jagadish', 'Most Eligible Bachelor' and others which are lined up to impress the audience.
But the sudden spike in Corona cases is worrying everyone. While 'Vakeel Saab' may release without any hurdle, there may be a problem for other films. Many states have already implemented the 50% occupancy rule once again and some of them even closed public spaces like theatres and malls. There are experts who claim that such measures will be taken in the Telugu states too. This scenario is becoming worrisome for Tollywood. Let us see what happens.
