Should dub films also get a big reception at theatres on par with straight films is the discussion that is going on for a few days in Tollywood. Tamil star hero Vijay having a grand release of Varisu along with Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy and Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya started this debate.

Dil Raju is the producer of Varisu and this resulted in the Dub film getting a good number of theatres. The dubbing films getting priority reportedly did not go well with the producers and the Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) is said to be not happy in this regard and took serious note of it.

Hinting that Dil Raju might be in trouble with Varisu's release the Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) issued a press release saying that straight films should get the big priority over dubbed films. Having said that the body said it is decided that theatres will be given to straight films alone.

Making Dil Raju not have a chance in countering this, the members of the Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) mentioned that back in 2017 Dil Raju said straight films should be given priority and the same should be implemented here.

This is a worrying development for Dil Raju as the Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) decided to give a major share of theatres to the straight films and if any theatres are left they will be allotted to the dubbed films.

It is said that Varisu is being made on a big budget as Vijay is one of the highest-paid actors in the Tamil industry. If the budget he kept in the film should come back Dil Raju should have a grand release for Varisu in Telugu states too and it appears like that might not be the case.

Dil Raju is in a tight spot now and we have to wait and see what Dil Raju will do now. Earlier when Tollywood shootings were stopped Dil Raju did not stop Varisu's shooting saying that it is a straight Tamil film and it has nothing to do with the halt in shootings in Tollywood.
