If everything went as per the plan, Megastar Chiranjeevi's social drama 'Acharya' directed by Koratala Siva would've been released on 13th May while Allu Arjun's rustic rural drama 'Pushpa' will be arriving on 13th August which leaves a good three months of gap between them.
But the team of 'Acharya' officially announced that the release is postponed due to the present circumstances. They are planning to release it once the spread of virus slows doing. Unofficial sources report that they are aiming at festive seasons which will start from August. There are a lot of festivals like Independence Day, Ganesh Chaturdhi, Dusshera, Diwali and others starting from August and will go till the end of October.
While Allu Arjun doesn't want to compete with Megastar out of sheer respect, it will be tough for his 'Pushpa' to find another release date considering the fact that it is a pan-Indian movie that needs to release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam languages. If both these big films release in the same month, it will dampen the box-office prospects of the two films. Let us wait and see what happens.
