Will Nani Take The Risk Of Becoming Villain Again?

Natural star Nani has recently scored a decent hit with 'Shyam Singha Roy' which was released on 24th December 2021. He got a lot of praise for his acting in two roles and it is coming out on Netflix on 21st January. Riding high on the success of 'Shyam Singha Roy', Nani is currently working on 'Ante Sundaraniki' under Vivek Athreya's direction.
The first look poster got a good response and there are a lot of rumours going on about his role in this entertainer. But the news is not about this film but Nani's other project 'Dasara' under the direction of Srikanth Odela. The shooting of this film is yet to begin and National Award winning actress Keerthy Suresh will be seen as the female lead in Nani's film for the second time after 'Nenu Local' which came in 2017.
The latest reports suggest that Nani is going to be seen in a negative character in this movie. Portraying a villain role is not new for Nani as he portrayed characters with negative roles in Indraganti Mohan Krishna's 'V' and 'Gentleman'. But Nani's acting in 'V' got a lot of negative response. Many claimed that his acting looked artificial in that film. We need to wait and see if he is willing to take the risk again for 'Dasara' or not.
The movie is set in the backdrop of a coalmine and Sathyan Sooryan is the cinematographer. Santosh Narayanan who composed music for many Tamil films is giving music for 'Dasara'. The official announcement on when the shooting is about to begin will be given soon.
Nani entered the industry as an assistant director and worked under great directors like Raghavendar Rao and Bapu. He turned into a hero in 2008 with 'Asta Chemma'. He went onto act in hit films like 'Snehituda', 'Pilla Zamindar' and others. He acted in Rajamouli's 'Eega' which was a huge hit. Nani faced a lot of flops after 'Eega' before giving a comeback with 'Evade Subramanyam'. His next film 'Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy' turned out to be a blockbuster and Nani became a Natural star. He bagged a lot of hits from the past couple of years like 'Nenu Local', 'MCA', 'Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha', 'Gentleman', 'Majnu', 'Ninnu Kori', 'Jersey', 'Devadas' and many others. He even turned into a producer and made movies like 'Awe!', 'HIT' and 'HIT 2'. He hosted the second season of Bigg Boss too.
