Popular actor Siddharth is a fierce critic of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He never misses an opportunity to take a dig at the saffron party. However, one such attempt had misfired big time and he is being trolled by one and all.

His recent tweet cost him big time and the alleged sexual comments against a celebrated player did not sit well with many. Be it the netizens or the feminists and celebrities and politicians, he is facing the heat from all the corners.

Looking into the controversy, Indian professional badminton player Saina Nehwal had condemned the security breach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Punjab on the flyover. In her tweet, the player said that if the security of the Prime Minister is compromised then the action is not safe.

With the hashtag Bharat Stands with Modi, Saina Nehwal made the tweet opposing what had happened with the Prime Minister. Siddharth replied to the tweet. However, the reply tweet kickstarted huge controversy.

“Subtle cock champion of the world... Thank God we have protectors of India. Shame on you #Rihanna (sic)," the actor tweeted.

The tweet made many heads turn and a few politicians and members from the industry had come down severely on the actor and called him for his objectionable tweet against Saina Nehwal.

Severely objecting to the tweet made by the actor, the National Commission for Women, which fights for the rights of women had also condemned the tweet and slapped him with a notice. Not just that, the commission had decided to take the matter to the cops.

National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma had reached out to the Grievance Officer of Twitter to seek a ban on the account of Siddharth for the objectionable tweet he made against Saina Nehwal.

While the concerned police are asked to take further steps in the matter, the commission had batted for the demand that the required action should be taken against the Kollywood actor for the misogynistic tweet.

However, Siddharth made a clarification on the issue and said his tweet was misinterpreted and his intentions are not right.
