A Tollywood delegation, spearheaded by Chiranjeevi has been trying to secure the appointment of the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan for many months now. But all they were able to get was the appointment of AP Cinematography minister Perni Nani.
Cut to now, YS Jagan has finally allotted his appointment to Chiranjeevi. The latest updates suggest that Chiranjeevi will be taking part in a lunch meeting with YS Jagan at the chief minister's camp office in Tadepalligudem today.
The meeting is expected to be a brief one. Chiranjeevi will be emphasizing on the hardships the film industry is facing due to the cinema ticket pricing restrictions that are put to effect by the government of Andhra Pradesh.
Chiranjeevi will request AP government to go easy on the ticket pricing regulations and also permit special shows, much like they used to in the past.
On the other hand, Jagan will be suggesting Chiranjeevi and Co. to develop more film studios in Andhra Pradesh. He will stress on Tollywood to create more revenue generating avenues in Andhra Pradesh. Jagan is visbly displeased with the film industry almost entirely operating in Hyderabad, Telangana. He wants the film industry to equally focus on Andhra Pradesh henceforth.
This meeting is expected to be a crucial one that will decide the future course of action pertaining to Tollywood and the government of Andhra Pradesh.
