Yashoda To End Up As A Loss Venture?

A lot of Telugu films are failing to get good collections despite earning positive responses from critics and audience. It has become a huge task for any regular Telugu film to beat the collections of 'Kantara' in AP and Telangana. This movie earned more than 40 crores in the Telugu states and everyone are eagerly waiting for a Tollywood film that can beat this Kannada film.

A lot of films like 'Ori Devuda', 'Ginna', 'Oorvasivo Rakshasivo', 'Like Share Subscribe' and others came out but nothing worked out. Even Karthi's 'Sardar' which got decent collections failed to get what 'Kantara' did. Many expected Samantha's 'Yashoda' to beat 'Kantara' and hoped for the best. But Samantha's film failed to beat the record of 'Kantara' as the collections are not at all encouraging.

The movie got 8 crores in its first weekend but it got only two crores in the next few days. While Samantha and his team are busy claiming it as a success, this action thriller managed to get less than fifty percent on Monday compared to the other days which shows how steeply the collections have fallen. Many thought that Samantha's star power might help the film but it didn't as the collections were poor right from the beginning despite the movie unit's publicity. Many claim that the collections are not at all consistent. Trade experts claim that it is going to be tough for Samantha's flick and may end up as a loss venture.

The cast of the movie includes Samantha, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada and Priyanka Sharma. Mani Sharma is the music composer while Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor. Sivalenka Krishna Prasad bankrolled this movie under his 'Sridevi Movies' banner. Dialogues were written by Pulagam Chinnarayana and Dr. Challa Bhagyalaxmi. Director duo Hari and Harish handled the megaphone.
