The list of Tollywood film celebrities who are donating towards the flood situation in Andhra Pradesh is going on increasing with more celebrities joining the list of donors for the cause. The list saw a new member in the form of Icon Star Allu Arjun who announced a donation towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund.

Announcing the donation, Allu Arjun said, he was moved by the plight faced by the people due to the floods and as his contribution, he is donating a sum of Rs 25 lakh for the help. Allu Arjun took to Twitter to share the news of making a donation towards the relief fund.

"My heart goes to the people of Andhra Pradesh who have been affected by the recent floods. I am making a contribution of Rs. 25 lakh towards the @AndhraPradeshCM relief fund to aid with the rehabilitation efforts," Allu Arjun tweeted earlier today.

Besides this, Geetha Arts run by his father Allu Arvind also vowed to donate a sum of Rs 10 lakh for the cause. With this, the donations made by the Allu family reached Rs 35 lakh.

The other day, Megastar Chiranjeevi, Superstar Mahesh Babu, Young Tiger NTR, Mega Power Star Ram Charan Tej have donated towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund. The stars have donated Rs 25 lakh each as their contribution towards helping the victims.

On the work front, Icon Star Allu Arjun will be seen next in the Pan India film Pushpa helmed by Sukumar. Part one of the film, Pushpa: The Rise will have a theatrical release on the 17th of this month.

Andhra Pradesh faced severe floods for the past few weeks and the regions like Kadapa, Chittoor, and Nellore were hit very hard by the severe floods. Devastating scenes are being reported from the regions.

It has been widely reported that several people were washed away due to the floodwaters. The ghat areas like the temple city Tirupati were filled with water as the flood water made it to the temple.

As part of the helping works, the Andhra Pradesh government called for National Disaster Response Force(NDRF) and State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) teams to take care of the rescue operations.
