Megastar's re-entry has brought additional craze to the project. Successful Writers Kona Venkat & Gopi Mohan teaming up with Sreenu Vaitla again has only given assurance that a blockbuster is in the making. Has the content lived-up to all the sky-high expectations?

Performances:
Ram Charan is terrific as a Youth for whom family is everything and his performance in emotional scenes is pretty good. Need less to say, He dances like a dream and grace in his moves could be compared to his Dad's best works.
Kriti Kharbanda deserves praise for daring to sign a Sister role despite continuing as Top Heroine in Kannada Film Industry. She is perfectly cast and the rapport she shares with Charan in the movie is damn good. Rakul Preet Singh as Video Game Designer under-performs but appears glamorous in songs.
Rao Ramesh as Hero's Father does complete justice. Nadiya plays her part quite well. Arun Vijay as baddie has nothing much to do. Sampath Raj excels in a role with two shades. Brahmanandam keeps the audience in splits during Second Half. Jayaprakash Reddy evokes laughter. Ali's Comedy Track is good. Sapthagiri as Hero's Friend wasn't utilized properly. Jabardasth Team makes its presence felt. Tisco Chopra is fine. Brahmaji, Posani, Prithvi and Satyam Rajesh have played their roles as per the requirement.
Pros:
Megastar's Cameo
Family Emotions
Music
Cons:
Lack of Vaitla-mark ENT
Screenplay
Technicalities:
SS Thaman's Music is simply superb. Particularly, Re-recording for Chiru's cameo is outstanding. Manoj Paramahamsa's Camera Work is awesome as usual. Three out of Five Songs have been picturized well. Dialogues by Kona Venkat are good. Sreenu Vaitla has provided the Core Story of 'Bruce Lee' and Kona-Gopi developed it further with the sole aim of making an wholesome entertainer. They relied more on family emotions this time but better care on screenplay in Second Half could have taken 'Bruce Lee' to the next level. DVV Danayya is uncompromising as a Producer.
Analysis:
'Bruce Lee' is the story of a Stunt Man fighting all the odds for his family. In a way, Director highlighted the mindset of lower middle class people and importance of Girl Education. However, An Inter dropout hero becoming into an IB Department Official is unconvincing.
The moment Sreenu Vaitla, Kona Venkat & Gopi Mohan teamed up for 'Bruce Lee', Audience were expecting nothing short of hilarious entertainment from them. Surprisingly, Vaitla concentrated more on the human emotions rather than entertainment which is he is known for! Of course, Emotional Scenes of Ram Charan with Rao Ramesh & Kriti Kharbanda were touching to say the least.
Characterization of Hero has been designed so well but one can't find freshness in the story. Screenplay of 'Bruce Lee' appears routine with traces of 'Dookudu' & 'Baadshah'. Vaitla mark hilarious entertainment is missing in 'Bruce Lee' inspite of using the services of several star comedians. The way Brahmanandam (Suzuki Subrahmanyam) was used in the movie reminds us of Vaitla's past two hits but the comedy skits will entertain the audience to some extent.
At the time when audience are going restless with not much happening in the Second Half, Chiranjeevi's Cameo in the Climax lifts their spirits and fans could only jump in joy. It gave a good feeling to audience while stepping out of the theaters despite all the flaws. The helicopter sequence reminds us of Indra's action block. Chiru's rugged look, screen presence and style were simply magnificent.
While the First Half is partly entertaining, Second Half is a big let down and Megastar's re-entry is the only saving grace. Overall, 'Bruce Lee' is just an average fare.
Bottom Line: High on EMOTION - Low on ENT!
