Performances:
Karthi excelled as Kashmora and Raj Nayak. Especially, He is exceptional as Raj Nayak and effort put in by him could be seen on the screen. His mannerisms, expressions, body language and dialogue delivery were too good. He generates rib-tickling comedy in the role of Kashmora. Karthi showed variations between both the roles to such an extent that one gets the doubts if the roles were done by two different actors.
Although she have a less screen time, Nayantara left a mark of her own on the movie. Sri Divya is alright. Vivek tickles the funny bone. Rest of the cast have done justice to their roles.

Technicalities:
All the Technicians have contributed to the best of their abilities for 'Kashmora'. Santhosh Narayanan's Music is refreshing. Though none of the songs except 'Oya..Oya' makes an impression, Background Score is terrific. Special mention for the Re-recording in the Flashback episodes. Camera Work by Om Prakash is top notch. Art Director Rajeevan has done a fabulous job. All the sets erected by him added value to the film. Visual Effects were awesome. Of course, Some of them look artificial as well. PVP Cinema didn't compromise on Production Values.
One gets the feeling if Director Gokul himself is in a confused state. If not for his failure in offering a convincing narration, 'Kashmora' could have set a new benchmark altogether. However, The command he have on comedy will fetch him accolades.
Analysis:
First things first, 'Kashmora' is a film which can't be restricted to a single genre. Its a mixture of Comedy, Horror & Fantasy Elements. The idea was to make it join the league of 'Magadheera', 'Arundathi' & 'Baahubali'. Yes, It has got grandeur, splendid art work & extraordinary visual effects. But, Required Intensity has gone missing and Narration plays the spoilsport.
Flashback Episode which is being highlighted in the posters & promos lasts for only 30 minutes. Even these period sequences look very ordinary. Director hasn't made any attempts to make audience get into the right mood. Flashback failed to create necessary impact due to lack of soul and the narration was in a lighter-vein manner until it began. Of course, Some good performances, lavish sets and visual effects make it bearable.
Comedy generated by Karthi as Fake Baba is the major asset of 'Kashmora'. Scenes of Karthi cheating People and conversation with Ghost are hilarious. First Half of 'Kashmora' is largely entertaining. The actual story begins in the Interval. Thereafter, Director appeared to be clueless on how to deal the subject.
After the Flashback episode, The film was dragged a bit unnecessarily and Climax wasn't executed well. A run time of more than 2-and-a-half hours is a major drawback. Makers should have easily trimmed 20 minutes. Though it have few high points, 'Kashmora' doesn't fall in the list of wholesome entertainer.
Bottom Line: A Khichdi of Three Genres!
