Sukumar left a mark of his own on Telugu Film Industry by picking up out-of-box subjects and perfection is executing each & every scene. He choose 'Kumari 21F', a convept conceived by him, for his maiden production. Due to long association they have, Devi Sri Prasad & Rathnavelu extended their support to Suku by coming on board without a pay cheque. Raj Tharun who is in good form with back-to-back hits & 'Ala Ela' fame Heebah Patel were roped to lead roles. Did 'Kumari 21F' meet the high expectation?

Synopsis:

Siddhu (Raj Tharun), a youth who pursued Hotel Management wishes to settle down as a chef in a  Singapore-bound cruise, happens to meet Kumari (Heebah Patel) who is a Model. Kumar is out-spoken & very friendly by nature. In the first meeting itself, Kumar proposes to Siddhu but he doesn't take it seriously. As days passedby, They get much closer and the same time Siddhu has got his own doubts on whether he should love her or not. Kumari's bold attitude & Advices given by Friends put him in a big dilemma. Its then Siddhu comes to know about a shocking truth about Kumari's past. How did Siddhu react to it forms the rest of the story...!

Performances:

Raj Tharun carries the whole film on his shoulders. He exhibits innocence, confusion & honesty superbly. Especially, The way he emotes in Climax is worth applauding.

Heebah Patel has been a huge asset for 'Kumari 21F'. Her Cute Looks & Glamour Show work big time. Acting-wise, She does a decent job.

Playing a role with grey shades, Noyal breathes life into the character. The other two guys in Hero's Friend Batch were aptly cast.

Technicalities:

Music by Devi Sri Prasad plays a huge role. While the Songs were already topping the charts, Background Score is even better. Camera Work by Rathnavelu is topclass. Dialogues were bold & hard-hitting. Story, Screenplay & Typical Characters designed by Sukumar will offer a new experience. Even though Palnati Surya Prathap is the Director of 'Kumari 21F', Audience get the feeling its a Sukumar's film and that's the impact of his writing. Making Standards were Damn Good.

Analysis:

As expected, 'Kumari 21F' is a bold flick which connects big time with Youth. Sukumar conveyed a hard-hitting message with ample dose of entertainment. Content-driven films are rarity in TFI & 'Kumari 21F' is one such product which reaches its target audience.

The Mesage is straight & clear - Love a person the way he/she is unconditionally..Aceept good & bad in them..Trust is utmost important in love. At the same time, Sukumar added adequate mass masala elements keeping commercial prospects in mind.

Audience could find Sukumar-mark in every frame, right from the title cards in 'iPhone' format. Heebah Patel takes the lead in the First Half. Heroine's Characterization is entertaining but Heebah goes overboard at times. Logic goes for a toss in few sequences but the entire first half is racy and entertaining.

Focus is more on emotions in Second Half and hence we get a feeling it is a bit slow paced. The discussion about love-trust-maturity is boring to some extent. However, All the short-comings have been overcomed with a stunning Climax block.


Bottom Line: A Bold Attempt!
