Mahesh Babu is one of the heroes who enjoys immense craze in TFI. The trend of using Mahesh's name actually picked up with Indraganti Mohaa Krishna's 'Astha Chemma'. Debutante filmmaker Sushanth Reddy taken this to the next level by using the photo of Superstar extensively.

Synopsis:

Nandu and Poonam Kaur are love birds. While one believes in true love, the other one have a 'use & throw' mind set. This leads to their break-up! Poonam then goes after Adarsh who is a wealthy and have a casanova image. Bhupal is an aspiring filmmaker who wishes to make a film with Mahesh Babu. Situations force Nandu, Adarsh and Bhupal to plan the kidnap of Superstar to solve all of their problems. Watch 'Superstar Kidnap' in theatres to know what united them & how far they were successful in the mission.

Performances:

Lead Actors Nandu, Adarsh and Bhupal have given decent performances. Poonam Kaur is alright. Vennela Kishore is superb. Shraddha Das as Lady Don is effective. Thagubothu Ramesh is funny. Posani-mark comedy is missing in the film. Guest Appearances of Manoj, Nani and Allari Naresh are decent.

Technicalities:

None of Sai Kartheek's Songs make a good impression and even their placement hampers the flow. Background Score is impressive. Cinematography is first rate. Editing is good in first half and just ordinary in second half. Makers delivered good quality in limited budget.

Analysis:

The current trend in TFI is 'Crime Comedy' and 'Superstar Kidnap' falls in the same genre. Credit should be given for Director Sushanth Reddy for making the audience believe as if Mahesh Babu is part of the project even though the Tollywood Prince hasn't acted in it.

Usually, All Kidnap subject have a similar format - Plot for kidnap, demanding ransom, culprits going behind the bars and a message in the end. In this movie, Director narrated the agenda behind kidnap and what the heroes do to escape from getting trapped with a taut screenplay.

First Half of 'Superstar Kidnap' is interesting with the tracks of three lead actors and a well-executed Interval Block. However, The twist revealed in the beginning of Second Half made the rest of the movie predictable. Vennela Kishore saved the film to an extent here with some hilarious punches. Director faltered a bit in handling the confusion-drama in the last few reels. Finally, 'Superstar Kidnap' is basically a screenplay-based flick which is neither bad nor too good.
