The United States of America, Australia, United Kingdom, and other countries which had opened the dose for the Indian immigrant population earlier or slowly changing their operations.

The over exploitation of the visa policies and increased number of illegal immigrants in these countries have resulted in them, starting to take evasive action. The United States has already started to tighten the immigration policy, and now it is the turn of Australia to do the same.

The Australian immigration control authorities and the government have taken pretty big steps with regard to Visa policies that could be directly affecting the Indian population.

Australia is tightening immigration rules, targeting 77,000 visa overstayers and largely blocking international students from bringing family members. This is a part of the broader plan of Australia to reduce the volume of dependent population in the country

The government will add 100 immigration compliance officers and 250 detention beds while expanding rules requiring temporary visitors to leave when their visas expire.

Most student dependents will be barred under future visas, with exceptions including some Pacific and Southeast Asian students and certain PhD programs.

Previously, Australia was very lenient towards immigration population and used to provide adequate opportunities, but that is not even remotely the case now.

With reduced permissions for dependent populations, the Indian community will face a significant challenge in shifting their families to Australia, and this is going to be a pretty significant step.
