In the current world no country can be seen as small. Sometimes the decisions the nations take will have a bigger impact and they can take the world by surprise. One such decision India took is showing a big impact on the global market and a few nations went into a panic mood. People in a few nations are rushing to the stores.

India is one of the big players as far as the rice exports are concerned. India is said to be having close to 40 percent share in the global exports of Rice. Rice that is grown in India goes to many countries across the globe.

To stabilise the prices in the global market, India imposed a ban on exports of non-Basmati rice. This raised many fears among Indians living in other nations. Soon after hearing this, they rushed to the nearby stores to stock up rice bags.

In countries like the United States, Canada and others there was a panic among Indians. There were long queues in front of the rice stores. It is also said that the rice prices went soaring up leaving Indians in a state of panic.

Now it's the turn of Australia to see such scenes as per the media reports. As an example of the mad rush for rice in Australia, it is said that the stock in many stores is over and there are no stock boards outside the stores.

On the other hand, the stores that have limited reserves are giving only limited rice to one person as we see for the ration card holders in India. However, Indians are worried that the prices would be high and that's why they want to keep as much rice as possible with them as a precautionary measure.

Media reports say that stores in Australia are giving just five kilos each no matter what the customers are saying. While the shopkeepers are worried that only limited reserves are with them, customers are concerned about the possibility of price hike. Experts say that the situation would come under control once the rice reserves are increased if India changes its stand.
