Tragedy: Indian Man Burned Alive In Chicago Fire Accident

Then what could be considered an extremely tragic and fateful incident, an Indian elderly man was burned alive in a fire accident that happened inside an apartment in Chicago.

Going into the story, a massive fire broke out in a suburban area of Chicago on Tuesday afternoon, completely destroying a house. A 75-year-old man, who was on the second floor, was unable to escape and lost his life as he suffered severe burn injuries. Another person sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

The elderly man had come to the U.S. on a visiting visa from India to spend four to five joyful months with his daughter’s family. His tragic death in the fire has left the local Telugu community in deep sorrow and condolence messages are pouring in for the family of the bereaved.

Preliminary reports suggest that the fire may have been caused by a lit lamp or candle inside the house. However, the police have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident. A full investigation is expected to determine the exact cause of the fire.
