This has been the case with several immigration students who have been travelling from India to the United States as the authorities have started to crack down on the same.
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 April 2026 12:31 PM ISTIt is already known that the F1 visa is one of the most decide documentation for the Indian community as this grant the permission for non-immigrants to come to the United States for education purpose.
Back in the day securing the F1 visa was an easy task as the United States consulate in India were very liberal with their documentation and approval ratings.
But things have changed under Donald Trump peroration as a simple F1 visa rejection can lead to severe consequences. If a student has his/her F1 rejected in the first attempt, then they cannot apply for the second time for at least 10 or 11 months. This would essentially mean that the candidates who failed to secure the visa. In the first attempt at the United States consulate will have to wait nearly a year before the second attempt.
This has been the case with several immigration students who have been travelling from India to the United States as the authorities have started to crack down on the same.
The interesting thing here is that the first time applicants are easily able to apply for F1 visa while the candidates who had already applied and got rejected in the first attempt are finding it extremely hard for second chance. This is a very sad and silently demeaning situation for the Indian community that has been looking to travel to abroad for educational opportunities.
It appears that Donald Trump administration in the United States is doing everything in their power to stop the Indian and also other country students from entering their country.
