Heartbreaking but true: Indian student deported, handcuffed!

The situation of the Indian students in the United States has become problematic under the Donald Trump regime as he has been enforcing strict visa and immigration policies. This reached a new high after the recent deportation drive that was started by Trump.

Incidentally, a video of an Indian student in handcuffs getting departed from the United States has now surfaced on social media and it is going viral all over.

A heartbreaking video from the U.S. has gone viral, showing an Indian student being deported in handcuffs at Newark Liberty International Airport. The young man was seen pinned to the ground, crying and begging, as officers restrained him.

The video was shared online by Indian-American entrepreneur Kunal Jain, who was on the same flight. He called the incident a “human tragedy” and tagged India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar.

The Indian Consulate in the U.S. has taken note of the incident and said they are in touch with U.S. authorities to understand what happened. The video has caused public anger, with many people on social media calling the treatment cruel and inhumane.

This is not the first such case. In February 2025, over 100 Indians were deported from the U.S. in handcuffs and chains, which led to protests in India’s Parliament.
