The administration has made it very clear that it is illegal for international students to work of the campus and certain measures will be taken to restrict the same.
In this context, the local authorities had been conducting several research operations where they have been targeting Indian students if they were actually working at any part-time facilities. If the student is found guilty, then they face serious consequences, which include deportation.
Cut to now, the latest developments are suggesting that the local authorities and administration or largest focus on the student side of things, but also the source of this operation. Apparently, they have started search operations at the employment facilities and also outlets that have been nurturing the part-time culture.
The hotels, gas stations and other employment venues that often generate part-time gigs for students are now under the radar of the local administration, say reports. In this context, the employee avenues have smelled danger and they are taking evasive action now.
Apparently, several hotels and related commercial outlets have started to display boards that they are no longer taking people who are on student visa. They are making it increasingly clear that only valid visa holders will be permitted to work at their properties, and there will be no exceptions in this regard.
What this will essentially do is that it will take down the potential employment opportunities for the Indian student community in the United States and largely cut down the part time, income revenue. This is going to take a serious effect on the student community that has been largely relying on part-time opportunities over the years.
