By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Jan 2026 4:11 PM ISTA heated debate has started in the United States after media personality Sara Gonzales released a viral video investigation exposing alleged H1B visa fraud by several Telugu run IT consulting companies. Her independent operation focused mainly on firms based around Irving and Frisco near Dallas, areas known for a high concentration of Indian IT consultancies.
In her videos, Sara presented what she claimed was detailed data showing how certain H1B dependent companies were operating without proper offices and using residential addresses to file visa applications. She visited multiple listed office locations, only to find private homes instead of functioning workplaces. According to her findings, some companies allegedly filed anywhere between 12 to 23 H1B visas while running operations entirely from houses.
In one incident shown in the video, a person identified as a company owner reportedly refused to open the door and called the police, claiming he felt threatened.
Sara questioned how someone could run an IT consulting company, sponsor multiple H1B employees, and yet not have a real office or basic business setup. She also pointed out that some company websites were poorly maintained, filled with spelling mistakes, and lacked basic credibility, raising further doubts about their legitimacy.
Sara strongly criticized the situation, stating that American taxpayer money was being misused through such fraudulent practices. She urged immigration authorities to immediately investigate these companies and take strict action. According to her, these actions are not only illegal but also harming genuinely talented and hardworking H1B professionals who follow the rules.
The video went viral within hours, triggering intense discussion within the Indian and Telugu communities. Many legitimate IT consulting firms expressed concern that such fraud could lead to stricter scrutiny and damage the reputation of honest companies.
Several business owners also said that if the Trump administration launches a large scale crackdown, genuine firms and employees could suffer due to the actions of a few.
