Now we have a viral video of a lady who is supposedly from Telangana and has settled down in the United States, where she exposed about the caste culture in a resounding manner.

A viral video of a Telugu woman boasting about caste identity in the US has sparked widespread outrage online. Critics slam the NRI community for exporting caste prejudice abroad instead of leaving it behind.

In this particular video, this lady who is apparently from Telangana speaks about how she approached another Indian woman who happened to be in her gated community. This Telangana lady spoke out of formality with this elderly woman who happened to be there.

But much to the shock of this Telangana lady, the elderly woman enquired about her caste in the first. “This elderly lady did not ask my name or where I was from. She straightaway went to the discussion about my caste and community, and asked which community I belong to. I moved away from this conversation as I did not like to indulge in it.”

This speaks a lot about the kind of Cast and community, feeling that is sustained by the Telugu community in the United States as well.

People are saying that Telugu people already have this community feeling and discussed here in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They are pointing out that there is absolutely no reason to carry this forward in the United States as well.

This is not an individual incident either as we have been witnessing several such activities concerning the Indian folk in the recent months. It appears that this community that was confined to the Telugu states has moved onto the United States now.
