As we had reported earlier already, the United States government led by President Donald Trump has been doing very aggressive when it comes to deporting international immigrants away from the United States. More relevantly for the Indian population, here is a look at the deportation numbers related to the Indian subcontinent.

If we observe the numbers and the deportation trends, it can be understood that the Telugu states and also South Indian states have been on the lower end of the spectrum while north Indian states are leading with extreme number of deportations.

Till now, the United States government has deported 331 Indians across three flights. These deportation drives have been happening for the last couple of weeks, and we are hearing that there will be more such developments in the days to follow as well.

Coming to the statistics of the Indian states with the highest number of deported population, here is looking into the same; Punjab: 126 - Haryana: 110 - Gujarat: 74 - Uttar Pradesh: 6 - Maharashtra: 5 - Himachal Pradesh: 2 - Rajasthan: 2 - Goa: 2 - Chandigarh: 2 - Jammu & Kashmir: 1 - Uttarakhand: 1.

The numbers itself have a story to tell here as South Indian states have virtually zero deportations while the north Indian states have an abnormally high number. This is perhaps an indication that the north Indian states have the highest illegal population in the United States.

The very fact that the South Indian states and more relevantly, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana do not have even a single deportation till now is a story in itself.

Despite having the highest concentration of international travel, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have shown discipline when it comes to immigration policies. Most of the entries here are deemed to be legitimate, unlike north Indian states where the population is resorting to illegal entry into the United States.
