One such series has now emerged as a biggest winner at the popular Critics' Choice Awards, which is seen as the next to the Oscars, Bafta, and Golden Globes.
Netflix’s breakout series Adolescence emerged as one of the biggest winners as the standalone series grabbed four major wins at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards. It grabbed the acting honors, Best Actor in a Limited Series for Stephen Graham, Best Supporting Actor for Owen Cooper, and Best Supporting Actress for Erin Doherty. And it also won the Best Limited Series award too.
Adolescence is a hard-hitting British drama that deals with the story of a young kid who is arrested for the murder of a fellow student in his class. It deals with subjects like how childhood gets affected by trauma, conditions around, bad peers and parents who cannot afford time for their kids. The hard-hitting reality of the series lies in its cinematography, sound design, and music, apart from the stunning performances.
With this big win at Critics Choice Awards, Adolescence has firmly positioned itself as one of Netflix’s most critically acclaimed series in recent times.
