Popular OTT platform Netflix is grabbing a lot of interesting projects lately. They are investing heavily in Indian films as they are hellbent on dominating the Indian market. We have recently seen them acquiring the streaming rights of some of the biggest hits in 2023. SRK's 'Jawan', Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' and 'Salaar' of Prabhas were bought by Netflix.

On top of that, they already announced that they are streaming partners of movies like 'Pushpa 2', 'NBK 109', 'Tillu Square', 'VD 12' and 'Gangs Of Godavari'. These are just in Telugu while they announced big Tamil projects like 'Indian 2', 'Thangalaan', 'SH 21', 'Maharaja', 'Rovelver Rita' and others as well. This shows that Netflix means business this year and are in no mood to fool around.

Netflix is focusing especially on Indian content and it is not just getting Tier 1 hero movies but also the films of Tier 2 heroes in various industries. Most of the movie streaming rights are falling into the hands of Netflix. As per reports, they bought the rights of 'Pushpa: The Rule' for a whopping 275 crores and it is the biggest OTT deal ever in India. Knowing the craze of this film across the globe, Netflix decided to spend such a huge rate.

They bought the streaming rights of NTR's pan-Indian film 'Devara' as well and sources say that they spent 155 crores for it. More than half of their budget was recovered just through the digital streaming rights. Vijay Devarakonda's next film with Goutham Tinnanuri was reportedly acquired for 16 crores. There are reports that Naga Chaitanya's 'Thandel' was also bought by Netflix and they spent over 40 crores for it. Seems like there is no stopping Netflix anytime soon.
