The budget of THIS movie is 2 Lakhs

Of late even hit films also providing huge losses to the makers because of rise in production cost and remunerations. But do you believe that a film was completed within budget of 2 lakhs including all the costs. We are not talking about a short film or documentary. Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma announced that the budget spent on Ice Cream was just Rs 2,11,832.He claimed that his movie entered to profit zone before the release itself.
RGV explained, “Before starting Ice Cream, I called on each and every artist and technician for a meeting. I assured them with the remuneration after movie success. We didn’t use any Lights, Track Trallies, Jimmy Jibs, Study Cams and other production cost hiking equipments. We made the movie with a cheap equipment Gimbal Camera. With the new Flow Cam technology, production unit members count also decreased by 90%. Everybody used to bring food from their houses. Even costumes of Navdeep and Tejaswini were of their own.Th e film made profits because of the publicity we have done before release.’’
