T-Government to take over CBIT?

Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) appealed Telangana Government to take over the Educational Institute to run in a public-private partnership mode alleging lacks of transparency in the function of the management committee.
CBIT President Malakonda Reddy have a completely different story to narrate. He condemned the allegations that 'non-locals' have been running the educational institution and clarified both AP and Telangana have equal representation in the management committee.
On the allegations that Management Quote seats werebeing sold for as high as Rs 400 crore, Malakonda Reddy said its a baseless charge made by few influential people with vested interests. He revealed Irrigation Minister Harish Rao, Chief Secretaries and other influential people recommended seats in CBIT. He informed that the Institute received around 300 requests seeking Management Quote seats and Harish Rao himself asked for 5-6 seats but the Management didn't budge.
On the criticism that Union Minister Sujana Chowdary who is part of the Management is the sole reason behind TDP having major influence on the functioning, Mr. Reddy says the TDP MP is just an alumnus of CBIT and not part of the Management. However, Sujana Chowdary's name was found in the Management Committee's list until Monday afternoon.
CBIT Chief states TRS MP Visweswara Reddy was removed from the College Board on technical grounds and admits his inclusion against the quidelines is a mistake.
The Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) is yet to take a call on the request placed by CBIT staff.
