Rs 1,000 crore for Swachh Hyderabad

Telangana Government has come up with a Rs 1,000 crore 'Swachh Hyderabad' programme which is aimed at making the capital as clean as possible.
'Swachh Hyderabad' will be launched on May 16th and end on May 20th. The city will be divided into 400 segments and each one of them with cover a distance of 1.5 km. An officer will be appointed to every segment and he will be held responsible for the cleanliness of that particular area. Interestingly, Even Chief Minister, Governor, Chief Secretary, Ministers, MLAs and other Public Representatives will also head the segments.
In addition, Each Segment will have a 15-member Committee which will work as per the direction of a designated official. The members of the committee will be citizens from the area. Altogether, At least 6,000 People will be official members of 'Swachh Hyderabad' programme. Employees, Entire Police Force and General Public will take part in the 5-Day Cleanliness Drive.
