Lakshmi Manchu supports IAS Officer Smita Sabharwal and fires on a Magazine which wrote derogatory article about the female IAS officer.Lakshmi stated that it is very shocking that the magazine made a frame about one of the most powerful bureaucrat in CM's office.

She not only extended her support but also requested all the society to fight against these discriminations over women. Meanwhile Amid heavy criticism for its slanderous and offensively sexist snippet alluding to IAS officer Smitha Sabharwal, the magazine ‘regretted’, but stopped short of apologizing.
