Temples in Telangana state have been very lucky to have a Chief Minister like K Chandrasekhar Rao. After keeping his promise of offering Rs 100 crore per year to Yadagiri Gutta, The TRS Supremo now sanctions Rs 100 crore for the development of Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple at Vemulawada, Krimnagar district.

TRS Government has come up with a plan to give a whole new look to Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple at a cost of Rs 250 crore. In the first phase, KCR sanctioned Rs 100 crore for the project.

KCR and his Wife were in Vemulawada Yesterday. Temple Priests welcomed CM with Purnakumbham and later the couple performed Rudrabhisekham to Lord Shiva.

During the review meeting, KCR instructed officials not to issue permissions for multi-storied buildings within a radius of 1,200 metres, so that Rajagopuram remains taller than other structures. He expressed his wish to remodel the temple as a major Hari Hara Kshetram in South India.
