Vishva Hindu Parishad's (VHP) Tamil Nadu unit demanded for a ban on Kamal Haasan's upcoming flick 'Uttam Villain' accusing it of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.

VHP Activists lodged a compalint against 'Uttam Villain' in the office of Chennai's Commissioner of Police. They allege lyrics of a song in the movie had belittled a conversation between Prahalad (Lord Vishnu's Devotee) and Hiranyakashipu. While speaking to mediapersons, The Members of the Hindu Outfit even warned of serious protests pressing the ban on the movie.

Kamal Haasan plays the role of a Star Hero in 'Uttam Villain' which is touted to be a Comedy Drama. Hence, He will be appearing in various get-ups in the movie and the controversy is regarding one particular sequence.

Even Kamal's last release 'Vishwaroopam' faced similar threats and Tamil Nadu Government has even gone to the extent of imposing a ban. The Versatile Actor was really lucky enough to overcome all the hurdles for releasing it else he would have ended up bankruptcy.
