Another unfortunate incident was reported from cricket field. In an on-field cricket tragedy, Former Bengal Under-19 cricket captain Ankit Kesari died of stroke after colliding with his fellow player while fielding on Monday.

He sustained a head injury in an on-field collision during a local game and collapsed on field.In an attempt to catch a ball Ankit collided with his team-mate Sourabh. Soon blood spurted out of his mouth and he fell unconscious.

He was shifted to at a private city nursing home where doctors declared him dead.
He was playing for East Bengal team against Bhawanipur club. He was actually not part of the initial squad and was called in to replace a injured player.

The right-hander was captain of the Bengal Under-19 team, and was short-listed for India's under-19 team for the 2014 Colts World Cup.Sachin tendulakr expressed grief over the incident.

‘’Saddened by the demise of Ankit Keshri. A promising career aborted by an unfortunate incident on field.’’ He tweeted.

Earlier in November 2014, Phillip Hughes died in a similar incident on field. Raman Lamba also suffered accident on-field and succumbed after being in coma for days
