Sarathi Studios LOSS @ Metro Rail

Sarathi Studios is one of the oldest studios (1956) in Hyderabad and the Hyderabad Metro Rail project is posing a threat to its existence now. This 7-acre Studio has four permanent floors where films, TV serials and other entertainment related programmes have been shot throughout the year.
For the Corridor - III (27.52 km - [Nagole to Shilparamam), Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMRL) identified Sarathi Studios land as part of Land Acquisition for the construction of circulation-cum-interchange at Ameerpet. Land Acquisition officer has issued notices to Sarathi Studios management to handover 2.5 acres of its land for Metro Rail. In return, Sarathi Studios will be receiving a compensation of around Rs 55 crore (Rs 50,000 per square yard).
A notification was also issued to acquire about 220 private properties located between Jubilee Hills check post and Greenlands. All of them will be compensated based on the prevailing market rate.
Sarathi Studios fecilitated the shooting of 5,000 feature films and several blockbusters like Gabbar Singh were filmed here.
