Congress leader gets caught selling babies

A child-selling racket was busted in Nalgonda district of Telangana state. Police arrested a woman who allegedly sold an 18-month-old girl.The couple who bought the baby was also got arrested.A case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC and Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act.
The woman identified as Kamli and she is a former vice-sarpanch and worked with Congress.She was arrested for selling the child for around Rs 10,000 to the couple from Guntur district.
She is accused of selling babies earlier also. Police suspect role of at least 3-4 more persons in the child trafficking racket. Police said that the child was rescued and has been sent to a child home.
