Excise Minister T Padma Rao brings liquor bottles to Secretariat for press conference and the act of minister shocked many. In his attempt to counter opposition partyâs allegations on Telangana government's Cheap Liquor move, Excise Minister T Padma Rao carried bottles and his act has drawn ire of opposition parties who question how a responsible minister could do such a thing.
TDP leader Nara Lokesh took to twitter and questioned the government."For the first time ever a Minister is seen marketing cheap liquor at a press conference. Is this how they seek to achieve Golden Telangana?" Lokesh Tweeted
Meanwhile apeaking at the press meet Padma Rao said that the move was aimed only to save people from consuming illicit-distilled liquor (gudumba) and not to earn revenues.
