IPL behind Sunanda Pushkar murder

Sunanda Pushkar death continues to make headlines. Yesterday Former Congress minister Shashi Tharoor questioned by police in connection with the murder case of his wife.
Shashi Tharoor reportedly admitted before SIT investigators that the he and his wife had a rough patch in their marital life.Now police probing about the role of IPL in Sunanda PuskarÂ’s death. Police Comissioner Bassi made it clear that they will probe if IPL angle was related to the death of Sunanda.
Sunanda became famous with her role in IPL controversy .She had been given equity worth 700 million in Rendezvous Sports World. In 2010, the company bid for the IPL cricket team Kochi Tuskers Kerala, which represented Tharoor's native state Kerala. There were allegations that Shashi Tharoor had misused his ministerial position to ask for a free stake in the company, and that Sunanda was acting as a proxy for Tharoor.
The controversy broke out in early 2010 when Tharoor was minister of state for external affairs and following the controversy Tharoor had to resign from the then government.During the investigation Tharoor also denied having any proximity with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar. Pushkar was found dead in a luxury hotel Jan 17, 2014, a day after she and Tharoor checked in.
