The Election Commission of India on Wednesday released the schedule for 2014 Polls, which include 543 seats for 16th Lok Sabha and Assembly polls 3 states (AP, Odisha, Sikkim). 81.4 crore electorate were eligible to cast their vote in 2014, which is 10 crore more than 2009 Lok Sabha polls.

9-Phase Elections Schedule:

First Day of Polling: April 7th (2 states).
April 9th: 9 states and 7 parliamentary constituencies.
April 10th: 14 states and 92 Parliamentary constituencies.
April 12th: 3 states and 5 parliamentary constituencies.
April 17-13 states and UT: 122 constituencies.
April 24- 12 states:117 constituencies.
April 30: 9 states; 89 constituencies.
May 7: 7 states; 64 constituencies.
May 12: 3 states; 41 constituencies.

Photo Voter Slips will be introduced in Lok Sabha polls this time.

The Election Process to the 16th Lok Sabha will be completed before May 31st. Term of 15th Lok Sabha ends on May 31st, along with terms of AP, Odisha and Sikkim.
